The name Chaavara is associated with the Blessed Father Kuriakose Elias Chaavara,
the co-founder of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) congregation, who had done
many contributions in faith, mission, education, culture, print media and development.
Many organizations, institutions, hospitals and enterprises have established in the name
of Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chaavara.
Chaavara Cancer Research Institute of India (CCRII) is a total solution to the age old
problem-cancer. It is a noble attempt by the laity of the church aiming for a cancer free
society. Cancer cure and care are two sides of the CCRII coin. The Holy Spirit is the
supreme guiding force to the cancer healing centre.
